Immigration is embedded in Adriana’s roots. She was born in Chicago from immigrant parents originally from Mexico and India and also married an immigrant from the Czech Republic.

Throughout her life, Adriana has dealt with immigration issues with friends and family members. Taking this background into account, Adriana understands immigration conflicts and issues of family unity.

Education-Adriana graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelors degree (BA, History 2003). Her  Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD 2008)  was received from Texas Tech University School of Law.

Adriana also interned with Catholic Charities and another non-profit organization, American Gateways, during and after graduating from law school.

Professional experience-Adriana began her legal career at Wayne Wright Injury Lawyers law firm and helped her clients receive compensation for their injuries from insurance companies. Later, Adriana realized her dream of working as an immigration attorney with American Gateways. During her time there, Adriana became a manager in the San Antonio office and supervised a legal staff of 4 attorneys, 6 administrative and legal personnel and 2 accredited representatives, accredited by the Department of Justice.
